UTA goes online for spring semester

The University is taking the following additional steps to maximize social distancing:

  • Online courses: Beginning Monday, March 23, through the end of the spring semester, all courses will be online only. Students will receive details about how to access and complete their courses.
  • Telecommuting: Find strategies and resources for working online at oit.uta.edu/utaremote.
  • Canceled: All campus tours, events, activities, and student organization-sponsored campus events are canceled through the end of the semester.
  • Postponed: Spring commencement ceremonies will be rescheduled.
  • Updates: uta.edu/coronavirus.

These programs are offered through the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence, the Center for Distance Education, and the Office of the Provost.

Students encouraged to go home

Living in campus residence halls and participating in campus dining programs will be limited to students who do not have a suitable alternative. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis to serve students who require this accommodation while observing social distancing practices.

Information on move-out procedures will be distributed by UTA Housing directly to residents.

Central Library

The Central Library will be open 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Other campus libraries will be closed. Faculty may request virtual assistance by appointment only.

Health Services and CAPS

Health Services will observe normal operating hours. Counseling and Psychological Services' on-call counseling staff are at the Health Center. Both can be reached at 817-272-2771.

Limited or closed

UTA facilities will remain open on a limited scale for continuity of operations and services to students. Limited dining services are available for residence hall residents on meal plans. The Maverick Activities Center is closed.
