UTA plans thorough, frequent cleaning regimen as part of safe return to campus

Everyone on campus for the Fall 2020 semester will see a beefed-up cleaning regimen to comply with UT Arlington’s adherence to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Benefit-eligible employees will be able to make benefit updates or changes Tuesday, July 15-Friday, July 31, during the Benefits Annual Enrollment for 2020-2021.

Staff Advisory Council's Staff Conference is July 15-17

SAC Staff Conference

Register for the Staff Advisory Council's Staff Conference Tuesday-Thursday, July 14-16, via Teams. One-hour virtual sessions are offered at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

A State-of-the-University session is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14.

Sessions will be recorded for those who cannot participate next week.

Return-to-campus training

Complete the COVID-19 Return-to-campus training in Canvas before your department starts its repopulation phase. Essential employees already working on campus should complete the training by Friday, July 10.

Listening sessions online

Recordings of the recent faculty and staff listening sessions are online. Be patient when clicking; the files are large and take time to load.

Early voting at MAC

Early voting for the July 14 Texas primary runoff election is through Friday, July 10, at the Maverick Activities Center. See times/days. Voters must wear masks inside the building and maintain social distancing.

COVID-19 leave

Register for "Taking Federal Leave Time for COVID-19" on Monday, July 13, which explains the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Listen to three podcasts.

Qualtrics ends next week

Qualtrics survey platform will end Thursday, July 17. QuestionPro is UTA's new online survey tool; register for training. If you need to access Qualtrics data, please contact questionpro@uta.edu.

Connect to new wireless network

Go to the UTA Wireless Network Resource Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to reconnect devices to the upgraded wireless network on campus. First, check the status of your office location on the upgraded buildings list.

The upgrade will enhance cell phone coverage through Wi-Fi calling, increase convenience of staying connected while moving throughout the building, and allow for the support of future innovations.

Holidays for 2020-21 posted

To see the 14 days on the 2020-21 holiday schedule, go to the Human Resources' holiday page and scroll down. The first one is Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7.
