Genome center increases testing capabilities

To help achieve its goal of facilitating a safe return to campus in the fall for the Maverick community, UT Arlington is leveraging the expertise and resources of its North Texas Genome Center to bolster on-campus COVID-19 testing capabilities.

Faculty offered new tools, techniques, training

To support continued academic excellence in a new learning landscape, the University has instituted robust training for faculty to help them learn new tools, techniques, and best practices for different modalities.

For the second consecutive year, a graduate student at UT Arlington has won a prestigious national award for noise control engineering.

Campus repopulation training required

Take time to complete the COVID-19 Return to Campus Training for all UTA faculty and staff. The course in Canvas covers the steps being taken campuswide to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Student Affairs begins a three-part online series for students and their families at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, July 23. The first session covers academic plans, and upcoming sessions look at student life and safety.

Orientation a virtual visit

New Maverick Orientation, mandatory for incoming students, is all virtual. The program lets new students learn about campus resources and opportunities and engage with future peers.

Tech resources for students

Student access to technology includes laptop lending, better Wi-Fi, and socially distant computer labs for a successful experience in online and hybrid courses.

Name change

The Office for Students with Disabilities has changed its name to the Student Access and Resource Center (SAR Center).

Complete annual benefits selections

Benefit-eligible employees will be able to make benefit updates or changes through Friday, July 31, during the Benefits Annual Enrollment for 2020-2021.
