SSW hosted food giveaway

The School of Social Work held a “trunk-or-treat” event Thursday evening to distribute more than 700 boxes of fresh vegetables, fruit, dairy items, meat, and washable face masks to local families in need.

Community service honor

UTA Athletics won the Sun Belt Conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Community Service Initiative Award for 2019-20, with more community service hours than any other Sun Belt member school.

Faculty Senate Open Forum

The Faculty Senate will hold an open faculty forum noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, to follow up on ideas raised in the State of the University address.

Early voting at MAC

The Maverick Activities Center serves as an early voting polling place for the Nov. 3 elections until 7 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 30.

Food Pantry needs

The UTA/Tri-C Food Pantry needs breakfast items such as cereal, cereal bars, oatmeal (boxes of individual packages), and milk alternatives (oat milk, almond milk, rice milk, etc.). To donate, call 817-933-6520.
