Due to extreme winter weather conditions and widespread power outages, The University of Texas at Arlington is closed, effective immediately, through Wednesday, Feb. 17.

All classes in all modalities are canceled, also effective immediately, through Wednesday. Exams also are canceled.

Essential personnel should continue to report to work.

Employee remote work is suspended through Wednesday. Employees should contact their supervisors with specific questions about their duties.

UTA leaders broke ground on Feb. 9 on a $76 million facility that will usher in critical advancements in the field of health care, bringing together the University’s celebrated School of Social Work and the College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s Smart Hospital.

The presentations for the second and third candidates for vice president for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will be rescheduled because of this week's winter weather.
