Complete the UTA Campus Climate Survey to give your input on the present climate at UTA and inform current and future decisions and initiatives to support a vibrant diverse and inclusive campus community.

Programs move up in annual rankings of 'U.S. News' Best Graduate Schools

UT Arlington programs moved up in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings.

In the College of Business, the part-time Master of Business Administration program jumped 46 spots to place No. 66 nationwide in 2022. The program is No. 36 among public universities and No. 8 in Texas.

The College of Nursing and Health Innovation's master’s program in nursing moved 25 spots to No. 60 and the doctor of nursing practice program ranked No. 100.

The College of Engineering improved nationally in three departments. Electrical engineering improved 12 spots to No. 85. Materials science and engineering advanced six spots to No. 83. Computer science and engineering moved up three spots to No. 83. Overall, the college ranked No. 84.

Leadership diversity award

Sharareh "Sherri" Kermanshachi, assistant professor of civil engineering, received the Rosa Parks Leadership Diversity Award from the Women’s Transportation Seminar Greater Dallas/Fort Worth chapter.

UTA’s newest varsity team time travels, plays soccer in rocket-powered cars, and battles enemies for supremacy. And as some of the top esports players in the nation, they tend to dominate.

UT System teaching conference

Join the wait list to participate in the Conference on Teaching in Texas Wednesday-Friday, April 7-9, on Zoom. The conference is organized by the UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers.

The Big Event

Take part in the University’s largest day of service—The Big Event—Saturday, April 10, with various projects such as painting, landscaping, stocking pantry shelves, facility cleanup, and more. Register to participate.

Diversity story contest

Write a fiction story on how the shifting of perspectives has allowed for a more inclusive and equitable viewpoint for the Shifting Perspectives: A Short Story Diversity Contest. Submit your entry by Sunday, April 18.

Nominate alumni

Honor a Maverick grad who has made an impact with a nomination for the Distinguished Alumni Award and Recent Graduate Award. Submissions are due Friday, April 30.

HEERF II emergency grants

UTA can provide financial assistance through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) to eligible students facing additional expenses due to the pandemic.

Scheduling outdoor campus events

Under the Interim Guidelines for Campus Events, small outdoor events that support the core mission of the University are permitted. Social distancing, safety protocols, and CDC guidelines apply.

Academic and administrative departments can request to reserve space via the Division of Student Affairs’ Student Organizations Office.
