CAPPA rises in rankings

The public affairs master’s program in the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs improved 22 places to No. 95 in the nation in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School rankings.

Movin' Mavs Day

The City of Arlington officially declared March 30, 2021, as UTA Movin’ Mavs National Champions Day. The men's wheelchair basketball team won its ninth NWBA championship in March.

Diversity, inclusion survey

Complete the UTA Campus Climate Survey on diversity and inclusion by Friday, April 9. The survey takes about 20 minutes. Skip any question you do not feel comfortable answering. Your response is confidential.

UT System teaching conference

Join the wait list to participate in the Conference on Teaching in Texas Wednesday-Friday, April 7-9, on Zoom. The conference is organized by the UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers.

Electrical outage at SEIR building tonight

To complete modifications to the electric service for the new School of Social Work and College of Nursing and Health Innovation Building, the Office of Facilities Management needs to schedule a 20-minute electrical outage for the entire SEIR Building at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, April 2.

The building’s emergency generator will be operational for fire and life safety equipment, limited building lighting, elevators, and any research equipment currently connected to the emergency generator.

Save computer work and data in progress to prevent possible loss. Turn off all electronic equipment; it does not need to be unplugged.

HEERF II emergency grants

UTA can provide financial assistance through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) to eligible students facing additional expenses due to the pandemic.

Food Pantry needs

The UTA/Tri-C Food Pantry needs soups, boxed meals (such as Banquet or Noodle Roni), crackers (saltine, Ritz), diced tomatoes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shampoo. Drop off donations 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday at 405 W 1st St. Email tri.c.cyndi@gmail.com for more details.

Apply for approval for summer programs

For summer 2021, UTA has approved both virtual and on-campus day programs for UTA-sponsored programs.

If you are planning to host one of these programs for summer 2021 and did not receive an email with the required request forms, please contact University Compliance Services at compliance@uta.edu or 817-272-2080.

All request forms for summer 2021 are due no later than Thursday, April 15, and must be approved before you can advertise your summer program.
