Predicting road lifespan

Ali Abolmaali and his team will evaluate more than 3,500 lane miles of Texas roadways to determine their condition and remaining service life. He is chair of the Civil Engineering Department and the Tseng Huang Endowed Professor.

Be 'Well Traveled' with spring challenge

Well Traveled is the UT System's spring wellness challenge where participants will be tracking physical activity, sleep, and gratitude as they virtually move across the U.S.

Register individually or as a team. Well Traveled will span Monday, April 12-Sunday, May 9. Three institutions—one small, one medium, and one large—will be awarded the Living Well traveling trophy on Wednesday, May 12.

Well Traveled is open to all UT System employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents age 18 and above who are covered by the UT Select and UT Connect medical plans.

Nominate faculty and staff for the Reby Cary Faculty Excellence Award and the Staff Excellence Award. Suggest a student for the Maxwell Scarlett Outstanding Student Award. All will be presented at the Evening of Black Excellence, Achievements, and Graduation on Wednesday, May 12.
