UTA, MavWire take a break

The UTA campus will be closed on Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day. MavWire takes a break, too, and will return on Wednesday, June 2.

Flexible summer hours

The popular flexible summer hours program returns Monday, June 7–Friday Aug. 13. Participating employees work a compressed week of four 10-hour days with one day off during the work week.

Summer parking permits

Summer-only parking rates are needed for employees working on campus. Or choose the monthly, weekly, or daily options. Order your permit through MavPark.

De-icing system moving from test site to Texas bridge

A UTA research team will install its geothermal de-icing system on an in-service bridge to see how it performs under operational conditions after it kept a test bridge mostly clear of snow and ice during the sub-freezing winter storm in February.

A tune-up for UTA Radio

With funding provided by UT Arlington’s Facilities Management and the College of Liberal Arts and assistance from University administration, student-run UTA Radio received much-needed upgrades.

Vaccine, testing available on campus

The COVID-19 vaccine is available on campus and locally. Find a vaccination site and register.

Proactive testing for COVID-19 is available to employees on campus through UTA's Curative Testing Center.

Masks encouraged but no longer required

UTA no longer mandates the wearing of masks on campus. This action comes on the heels of the CDC’s updated guidance that masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated.

Request your on-demand ride anywhere on campus and downtown Arlington  using the Via app. Fares start at $3. 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday *Wheelchair accessible vehicle available.

Early voting for run-offs

UTA is an early voting site for the June 5 run-off elections. Cast your ballot through Tuesday, June 1, at the Maverick Activities Center. Read more for times and other locations in Tarrant County.

Food Pantry needs

The UTA/Tri-C Food Pantry needs juice, sugar, and body wash. Drop off donations 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday at 405 W 1st St. For more details, email tri.c.cyndi@gmail.com.
