Vaccine clinic today at MAC

Free, walk-in-only, on-campus COVID‑19 vaccination clinic is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the exercise rooms of the Maverick Activities Center. Another clinic is Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Upload proof of vaccination to the COVID-19 Health Portal in MyMav by Monday, Oct. 4, to be eligible for prizes in the Maverick Motivator Program.

MavsMeet Convocation Fall 2021 with UTA Marching Band brass section

MavsMeet welcomes students to campus

Students, faculty, and staff received a grand welcome Tuesday evening at the MavsMeet convocation at College Park Center. The UTA Marching Band, other musicians, dancers, and mascot Blaze entertained the crowd while University and student leaders officially ushered in the 2021-22 academic year. Classes start today.

Students from across Texas and beyond began moving into UTA’s four residence halls and seven apartment communities over the weekend with the help of volunteers, such as UTA Interim President Teik Lim and Arlington Mayor Jim Ross.

Zoe Voris

Maverick Paralympians

Zoe Voris will play for the United States’ women’s wheelchair basketball team at the Paralympics in Tokyo. The sophomore is one of many Paralympic athletes with UTA ties expected to compete this summer.

COVID testing required, vaccine available

All employees who come to any UTA campus in any capacity, regardless of vaccination status, must submit the required COVID‑19 test by Wednesday, Sept. 8. See the free on-campus testing options; results are automatically reported. Upload your off-campus test results to the COVID‑19 Health Portal in MyMav.

Maverick Pantry

New Maverick Pantry needs your help

Help the new Maverick Pantry stock up to provide for students in need this fall.

Among the items needed are pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans, instant oatmeal, granola bars, dried fruit, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned proteins, shelf-stable milk, feminine products, and toiletries.

Bring donations to the Dean of Students Office, Room B150, on the lower level of the University Center. To schedule a donation drop-off by vehicle, email eaf@uta.edu.

Panera Bread, University Club

Panera Bread in College Park District opens today, Wednesday, Aug. 25, and takes meal plan Dining Dollars. The University Club's opening has been delayed until Thursday, Sept. 9. Learn more about Maverick Dining.

Financial help for students

UTA is providing financial assistance to eligible students facing additional expenses due to COVID-19 through the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). Students can apply for HEERF grants for the fall semester.

IRB Mini Conference

Faculty, staff, and students who conduct human-subject research or would like to know more about the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process are invited to the virtual IRB Mini Conference 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Aug. 31. Register to attend.
