Muthu Wijesundara, principal research scientist and head of the Division of Biomedical Technologies at The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI), and his team have received a patent for a dual-layer insole apparatus for diabetic foot lesion prevention.

Access TCP through MyApps

After TCP, UTA's new timekeeping system, went live on Friday, you should access the program through MyApps and not previous bookmarks.

Before accessing TCP again, please clear your cache and cookies and restart your browser. Instructions for each browser can be found at Clear Your Browser Cache and Cookies.

Employees can access TCP via the Time-Employee tile. Managers can access TCP time via the Time-Manager tile, which is now active in MyApps.

As a reminder, support is available through job aids for TCP. These resources are available on the OCI Knowledge Services website. Click on the TCP-Employee or TCP-Timekeeper/Manager tile.

If you have not yet completed training through Canvas, you will not have access to TCP. Please login to Canvas and complete the TCP training listed on your dashboard as soon as possible.

Correct totals for remaining sick and vacation time will be online later this week.

Food Network chef Jet Tila will create a special Thai barbecue pop-up stand and free interactive teaching kitchens 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, Library mall. The teaching kitchens will be at Connection Café in the University Center.

Give your feedback

Faculty and staff are needed for Maverick Dining focus group sessions Tuesday-Wednesday, April 12-13. All participants will receive a voucher for a free combo meal at select locations. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided as well.

JCPenney Suit-Up Event

Faculty and staff can take advantage of discounts via the JCPenney Suit-Up Event. The shopping bargains are online through Friday, April 8.

The Big Event

Faculty and staff can participate in The Big Event on Saturday, April 9, which includes 40 community service projects. A celebration for volunteers is 1-3 p.m. with complimentary lunch, entertainment, and activities.

FANS cohort date change

Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, will speak on the National Juneteenth Museum coming to Fort Worth 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, in the Fine Arts Building. The event will be livestreamed.

Jazz Brunch at Main St.

Join your fellow Mavericks Saturday, April 9, for the return of the annual UTA Jazz Brunch at the Main Street Arts Festival in Fort Worth. Brunch will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the UTA Main Stage Hospitality Suite located at Ninth and Main streets. Tickets are $35 per person.

Electronic waste recycling

Bring your batteries, old electronics, toner cartridges, and other electronic waste to the e-waste recycling drive 2-4 p.m. Thursday, April 14, on the west side of the UC mall.

Food Pantry needs
