Maverick Talent Pipeline Program

A grant awarded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board will support UTA's new Maverick Talent Pipeline Program, which aims to create and sustain more equitable work-based learning opportunities for UTA students.

Psychological effects of COVID-19 on nurses

A study conducted by graduate researchers in UTA's Department of Psychology found that nurses have experienced higher levels of burnout and associated mental health risks since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Agents of Change

The latest Inquiry magazine highlights researchers at UT Arlington who are helping shape a better future by creating films that impart empathy, finding ancient tools that clarify history, and assessing educational practices that may do harm.

Hispanic-serving leadership

In Fall 2022, the College of Education will launch its Hispanic-Serving Leadership Preparation Graduate Certificate program, which provides a path for educational leaders to serve the Latinx population.

DEI professional development fund

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is accepting applications for its Professional Development Fund, which is designed to support employee participation in DEI-focused professional development and career advancement opportunities.

The fund will cover amounts not covered by an eligible applicant's department up to $2,000. Applications must be submitted no less than 60 days before the development opportunity. Learn more and apply.

Search web archives

Learn how to search digital archives of the internet with the help of the UTA Libraries' Special Collections department. Web archiving is a similar process to traditional archiving of paper documents.

TCP training sessions

Two-part TCP training sessions for managers and timekeepers are offered in person Thursday-Friday, May 26-27. Register to attend.

SAC Staff Conference

Mark your calendars for the Staff Advisory Council's annual Staff Conference 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, June 10, in the Rio Grande Ballroom of the University Center. Register to attend.

Flexible summer hours program coming

The popular flexible summer hours program runs Monday, June 6–Friday Aug. 12. Participating employees—including remote workers—work a compressed week of four 10-hour days with one day off during the work week.

Managers must provide the employee with an approved schedule in writing before the employee may begin the program. Leaders should manage this program at the department/college level. Non-exempt employees must take a minimum 30-minute lunch break.

Camp Cosmos

UTA Libraries hosts Camp Cosmos, a program for youth ages 9-12 that uses an array of technology to build a journey to the final frontier. The program is Monday-Friday, July 18-22, at the Central Library.

Sports camps for youth

Basketball, softball, and volleyball camps start soon. Register your youth to attend these skills programs headed by UTA athletic coaches.
