Enhancing energy storage

David Wetz, professor of electrical engineering and an expert on batteries and energy storage, is seeking ways to integrate AC and DC sources and loads on board the U.S. Navy's next-generation power systems.

Catarina Craig crossed the stage Saturday at summer commencement, but she wasn't alone. The accelerated online public health graduate said she felt the spirit of her late husband and fellow Karnes County EMS employee.

Transloc app for escort

Late Night Security Escort Service has changed apps. Use the free Transloc on-demand app to schedule an escort 7 p.m.-3 a.m. seven days per week in the fall semester. New off-campus locations are Centennial Court, Maverick Place, 848 Mitchell, The Arlie, and Downtown Arlington.

Report employee education or training

Texas statute requires UTA to report spending greater than $5,000 per employee on training and education for a professional license, certification, or degree. If your department has employees to report, visit Reporting Education/Training for University Employees to access the reporting template. The deadline to submit is Friday, Aug. 19.

Is your department or office seeking students for on-campus employment or work-study? Attend the Summer Virtual Student Employment Job Fair noon-3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Military PTSD survey

Military-connected participants are needed for a survey by the School of Social Work. The study is to better understand the factors, elements, and turning points that contribute to a military loss or trauma becoming a personal post-traumatic growth experience that results in a transformation outcome of helping others.
