Flu and COVID vaccine clinic Friday

A walk-in clinic for a free bivalent COVID booster is set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in room 102A of the Maverick Activities Center for faculty, staff, and students. Flu vaccines also are available and can be received with a COVID‑19 booster dose. No appointment or insurance is required.

COVID-19 boosters are free, regardless of insurance status. Flu vaccines are free with insurance. The cost without insurance is $25, payable by cash or check.

TMAC aids aerospace company

TMAC at UT Arlington aided a Fort Worth-based aerospace supplier and manufacturing company to become the first firm in the nation to qualify for a certification required of its contractors by the Department of Defense.

Kevin Sloan Scholarship

The Kevin Sloan Scholarship Endowment will fund scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in architecture who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship honors the architecture professor of practice who passed away in October 2021.

Julia Cornwell

Cornwell honored

Julia Cornwell, senior director of procurement and disbursement services, received the Jerry Fuller Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the UT System Supply Chain Alliance at its recent annual conference.

The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated commitment to the Alliance and has made a significant impact on the procurement profession both at their institution and across the UT System.
