Gather for a Maverick Thanksgiving

UTA's annual campus-wide Thanksgiving Dinner is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the Connection Café in the University Center. Tickets are $10 for faculty and staff. Students on a meal plan will be able to attend for free; students without a meal plan can purchase tickets for $7.

Enter early release in TCP

Be sure to enter hours correctly to take advantage of the Wednesday, Nov. 23, early release opportunity for vacation-eligible employees. Enter up to four hours of Agency Holiday pay in TCP, the employee time card software. If you have questions about early release plans or eligibility, please contact askhr@uta.edu.

Check holiday hours for campus dining, UTA Libraries, and the Maverick Activities Center. Shuttles will run the Red and Green routes on Wednesday with no service Thursday-Sunday. The courtesy escort service will be closed Thursday night.

Volunteer for commencement

Volunteers are needed for UTA's fall commencement ceremonies at Globe Life Field. Help is needed for set up Thursday, Dec. 15, and ceremonies Friday, Dec. 16. Complete the Commencement Volunteer Form by Monday, Dec. 5.

Someone is posting an Instagram story pretending to be UTA Student Affairs. They are offering free giveaways for Homecoming. This is not from Student Affairs, and there are no current giveaways.

Alzheimer's detection

Hanli Liu, professor of bioengineering, is the principal investigator for a multidisciplinary research team developing a dual-mode brain-sensing device that detects Alzheimer’s disease quickly and effectively.

Holiday Lights Parade

Bring friends and family to downtown for the annual Arlington Holiday Lights Parade Saturday, Dec. 10. Before the parade is reindeer games at the George W. Hawes Library, events at the Levitt Pavilion, and pictures with Santa.

Holiday glass sale

The Holiday Glass Art Pre-Sale is open for departments, faculty, staff, and students 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Studio Arts Center. Bring your UTA ID. A sale open to the public with demonstrations is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Help with Finals Cookies

Sign up to help with sweets and beverages at the Finals Cookies giveaway Monday, Dec. 5, at various sites across campus. Thirty minute and one hour shifts are available 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Human Resources wants all employees to update their information via the UT Share Employee Self-Service Portal. Verify your home address, phone number, W-4 information, ethnicity, and veteran status. Sign in at the UT Share link. Read how to update your information.
