UT Living Well Fall into Fitness

UTA division winner in fitness challenge

UT Arlington won the Small University division of the UT System Living Well Fall into Fitness Challenge powered by Limeade. UTA had 70 participants, the second most of the academic institutions. Together, the system participants logged in 252,617,001 steps totaling 112,719 miles, which is almost five times around the earth.

Benefits changes walk-in hours

As of today, Thursday, Dec. 1, Benefits Services will change its walk-in hours to 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday. Appointments can be scheduled with a benefit specialist 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday by contacting Benefits Services at 817-272-5554 or benefits@uta.edu.

Office.com changes name

Microsoft’s Office.com is enhancing and rebranding as Microsoft365.com, and users may notice changes in their web experience as a result. Microsoft will soon replace the existing Office experience with the Microsoft 365 experience, including a new URL, visual style, and favicon.

Help with Finals Cookies

Sign up to help with sweets and beverages at the Finals Cookies giveaway Monday, Dec. 5, at various sites across campus. Thirty minute and one hour shifts are available 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

WFSN holiday drive

Help the Women's Faculty and Staff Network's donation drive to benefit Tarrant County's SafeHaven through Friday, Dec. 9. Donations can be made online or at two locations on campus.

Holiday concert

Experience Maverick music for the holidays. Holiday Jubilation: University Singers and Symphonic Winds Holiday Concert is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Texas Hall. UTA A Cappella Choir Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in Irons Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Building.

Dance in Flux

Maverick Dance Company presents Dance in Flux, a collection of new, entertaining, and progressive dance works by faculty, guest, and student choreographers. The show is Friday-Sunday, Dec. 2-4, on the Mainstage Theatre in the Fine Arts Building.

Works by 38 graduating seniors are showcased in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition Monday, Dec. 5-Friday, Dec. 16, in the Gallery at UTA in the Fine Arts Building.

Holiday glass sale

The Holiday Glass Art Pre-Sale is open for departments, faculty, staff, and students 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Studio Arts Center. Bring your UTA ID. A sale open to the public is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Holiday Lights Parade

Bring friends and family downtown for the annual Arlington Holiday Lights Parade Saturday, Dec. 10. Before the parade are reindeer games at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, events at the Levitt Pavilion, and pictures with Santa.

Maverick Takeover at Dickies Arena

Join UTA Alumni Relations and The Maverick Club at the Maverick Fort Worth Takeover for a pre-game reception at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, before UTA takes on Texas State at Dickies Arena.

The reception is free, but a game ticket is required for entry. RSVP at give.uta.edu/maverick-takeover.
