UTA student design teams shared their visions for the future of the Cooper Street pedestrian bridges as part of a competition to reimagine what are among the University’s most recognizable landmarks.

The National Academy of Inventors has named Frank Lu, professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, as a senior member.


Health informatics leader

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has recognized Gabriela Wilson, professor of kinesiology and co-director of the Multi-Interprofessional Center for Health Informatics, with one of its 2023 Changemaker in Health Awards.

Brain research discovery

UTA Professor of Research Christos Papadelis and doctoral student Ludovica Corona have discovered how to identify which brain cells lead to epileptic episodes in children.

Black feminist theory

Join the Center for Theory Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. for the panel "Black Feminist and Liberatory Theories." Panelists include Kyrah Brown, assistant professor of kinesiology, Wideline Seraphin, assistant professor of literacy studies, and Ericka Roland, assistant professor of educational leadership and policy studies.
