Women's Summit

The UTA Women's Summit on Wednesday, March 8, is open to students, faculty, staff, and the North Texas community. Participants must register to attend by Friday, March 3.

Crucial conversation

Join the Office of Cultural Engagement and Social Change on Monday, March 27, for its community conversation about how the overturning of Roe v. Wade impacted documented and undocumented women in the United States.

Employee tuition affordability

Beginning in summer 2023, UTA employees will have access to a new tuition assistance program, the UTA Employee Tuition Affordability Program (UTA-ETAP). UTA-ETAP replaces the current tuition reimbursement process by paying for eligible courses upfront, much like a scholarship. Details can be found at go.uta.edu/benefits.

Financial award finalist

David Price, UTA chief audit executive, has been selected as a finalist for D CEO's 2023 Financial Executive Awards. Finalists will be honored and winners will be revealed at a private awards event in the coming weeks.

Big sale

Now through Tuesday, March 7, the UTA Bookstore is offering 20% off on Champion brand clothing and accessories. Discount pricing can be redeemed in person or online.

Network Switch Refresh

The Office of Information Technology is updating UTA’s network infrastructure across campus. The project involves building-by-building activity after regular business hours. To view when your building is impacted, visit the project website, which will be updated as the project progresses.

Accessibility training

If you are interested in signing up for Electronic Information Resources (EIR) accessibility training courses, there is a new location for registration. Please visit the OIT Training site for details about upcoming courses, including how to make accessible word documents and presentations. If you have additional questions about training, contact Laura Hopkins, EIR accessibility coordinator, at accessibility@uta.edu.

Student employee awards

Supervisors are invited to nominate their outstanding student employees to win an award from the Career Development Center. Please submit only one nomination per student by the deadline Monday, March 6, at 12 p.m.

Employee exit form

The Office of Talent, Culture, and Inclusion (TCI) has implemented new employee clearance and release processes. Resigning employees will be required to complete the Employee Clearance and Release Request form within two weeks of their separation date. Learn more at TCI's website.

Spirit Day

All staff are invited to attend the Staff Advisory Council's annual Spirit Day on Wednesday, March 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom. Free spirit items will be given to the first 200 guests.

Maverick Speakers Series

The Maverick Speakers Series presents Indra Nooyi Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. Nooyi is an experienced leader in the business world and has held executive positions at major companies all over the globe. She is also a revered role model for women and immigrants and celebrated for her empowering messages on inclusivity. Tickets are free for the campus community and $5 for the general public.
