Culture and inclusion

The Office of Talent, Culture, and Inclusion has hired two new positions that will support student and employee success. Cruz Imelda Wicks has accepted the role as the new assistant vice president of inclusion and belonging, and Maria Delgado will be the senior director for Hispanic-Serving Institutions.

Women's History Month

A variety of fun, informative, and introspective events mark Women’s History Month at UTA. This year’s theme is Raising Her Voice. Find campus events at events.uta.edu.

New graduate tuition assistance

Beginning this semester, the University will expand graduate tuition support to cover 100% of tuition and mandatory fees for students enrolled in a Ph.D. program and students pursuing the degrees of Master of Fine Arts, Master of Landscape Architecture, and Master of Architecture.

Big sale

Now through Tuesday, March 7, the UTA Bookstore is offering 20% off on Champion brand clothing and accessories. Discount pricing can be redeemed in person or online.

Maverick Experience

UTA will welcome prospective freshman and transfer students on campus for Maverick Experience on Monday, March 13. This event is the perfect way for prospective students and their families to learn about all the amazing things UTA has to offer.

Outside Activity Portal

UTA’s Compliance, Accountability, Risk, and Ethics Committee would like to remind all employees of their ongoing obligation to report whether they have any outside activity or other potential conflict of interest or commitment in the Outside Activity Portal. Employees are responsible to make reports at least annually or when there is a reportable change to their outside interests. Additional details about employee responsibilities can be found in the Conflicts of Interest, Conflicts of Commitment, and Outside Activities Policy (EI-PO-02).

Spirit Day

All staff are invited to attend the Staff Advisory Council's annual Spirit Day on Wednesday, March 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom. Free spirit items will be given to the first 200 guests.

Outstanding academic advisor

Jennifer Janes, professional development coordinator for the Division of Student Success, has won the TEXAAN Academic Advising Administrator of the Year Award.

Jazz Brunch
