GTA, Ph.D. boot camp

The College of Engineering has opened its boot camp to graduate teaching assistants and Ph.D. students from across campus. The boot camp is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in Room 100 of Nedderman Hall. Read more.

New law raises age for tobacco purchase to 21; UTA still a tobacco-free campus.

Tobacco-free campus

Only individuals age 21 and older—and military members—can possess, purchase, or consume cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or tobacoo products. Learn about UTA's tobacco-free policy and find resources to help you quit. Read more.

Shopping route adds bus

Because demand for the Mav Mover Shopping Shuttle has increased, a second bus has been added. The Green Route now runs both north and south routes five days a week. Read more.

More escort carts

The Late Night Security Escort will increase the number of golf carts available from three to five during peak times. This will help reduce the wait time to 10 minutes.

Esports tournament coming

UTA hosts its first collegiate esports tournament Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 21-22, at Esports Stadium Arlington. Sixteen university teams will play Overwatch for a $10,000 scholarship. Visit battle4tx.com or email battle4tx@uta.edu.
