Grad Finale is the time to order your graduation essentials. Gear up until 4 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 8, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 9-10, at the UTA Bookstore.

Police survey

The UTA Police Department seeks your opinion regarding its performance in serving the community. Take the UTA Police survey to help the department enhance its professionalism and services.

Take Dining Services' Voice to Vision survey and be entered in a raffle for prizes.

UTA provides support, resources concerning domestic violence

A reminder for October—National Domestic Violence Awareness Month—is that UTA offers resources and support for students experiencing intimate partner violence who are ready to seek help.

The Crime Victim Services program provides a wide array of support and services. An open police case is not needed to receive help.

Relationship Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention (RVSP) provides support and referral services, advocates, and educational materials and programs.

Mav Madness

Maverick fans can meet and interact with the 2019-20 men's and women's basketball squads during Mav Madness 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Brazos Park.

Oozeball recall

Take a look at the big mess UTA students made at the annual Oozeball mud volleyball tournament Sept. 27.

National Night Out

The campus community gathered on the evening of Oct. 1 for fun and information for National Night Out hosted by the UTA Police Department.

Important Dates

  • Oct. 15—Last day of classes for first eight-week term.
  • Oct. 16—Final exams for first eight-week term. Registration ends for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 17—First day of classes for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 17-18—Late registration for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 21—Last day to drop classes for second five-week session; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 24—Census date for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 31—Last day of classes for second five-week session.

Mark your calendar for Homecoming fun

Start planning your entry in the 2019 Homecoming Parade. Floats, golf carts, and walking entries are welcome from students and campus organizations. Look below for news about entering the Chili Cook-Off and the 5K Run/Walk/Roll. Homecoming is Monday-Sunday, Nov. 4-10. Details are at uta.edu/homecoming.
