UTA’s Music Department introduced a new bachelor's degree in music industry this fall.

Mav Madness

Maverick fans can meet and interact with the 2019-20 men's and women's basketball squads during Mav Madness 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Brazos Park.

Dr. Jackson Katz

Global thought-leader Dr. Jackson Katz will speak on "The Big Picture: Gender Violence in Historical, Cultural, and Political Perspectives" at the Maverick Speakers Series event on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Texas Hall. Tickets are free for UTA students. A preferred seating package is $35.

Important Dates

  • Oct. 15—Last day of classes for first eight-week term.
  • Oct. 16—Final exams for first eight-week term. Registration ends for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 17—First day of classes for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 17-18—Late registration for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 21—Last day to drop classes for second five-week session; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 24—Census date for second eight-week session.
  • Oct. 31—Last day of classes for second five-week session.

Campus elections

Vote in the campus elections 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 21-22, at the Gallery at the University Center. Cast your ballot for Homecoming king and queen, Student Senate, Graduate Student Senate, and more.

Early voting

Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election runs Monday, Oct. 21, to Friday, Nov. 1. The closest polling place to campus is the Tarrant County Sub-Courthouse, 700 E. Abram St.
