UTA goes online for spring semester

The University is taking the following steps to maximize social distancing:

  • Online courses: Beginning Monday, March 23, through the end of the spring semester, all courses will be online only. Students will receive details via their UTA email address about how to access and complete their courses.
  • Computer access: Details on accommodating students who need it will be forthcoming.
  • Stay home: Students are encouraged to stay home or return home and continue courses online.
  • On-campus housing move-out: Information on move-out procedures have been sent directly to residents by Housing. For all housing and residential questions, go to Housing FAQs or contact housing@uta.edu.
  • Dining: The Connection Café will be open to carry-out services only. The Market and Subway in the University Center are open for now. Check hours of operation.
  • Exceptions: Students living in residence halls and using campus dining who do not have a suitable alternative will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Assistance: Students with a temporary hardship resulting from a sudden emergency may apply for financial help from the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund.
  • Canceled: All campus tours, events, activities, and student organization-sponsored campus events are canceled for the rest of the spring semester.
  • Commencement: Graduating students will receive their degrees as scheduled, but the ceremonies will be postponed.

Central Library

The Central Library will be open 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Other campus libraries will be closed. Faculty may request virtual assistance by appointment only.

Health Services

Health Services will observe normal operating hours. Call 817-272-2771.

Closed or limited

Some UTA facilities will remain open on a limited scale. Check uta.edu/coronavirus or specific department websites for current information.

Tri-C Food Pantry

The UTA Food Pantry will distribute based on appointment picK-up times. The UTA Volunteers and Tri-C Food Pantry is open to any UTA student, faculty, or staff member with a UTA ID.

Pick-up times are 10-11:45 a.m. and 2-4:45 p.m. today, Thursday, March 19-Friday, March 20. For an appointed time, email utafoodpantry@gmail.com.

The Tri-C Ministries Center is at 405 W. 1st St. For questions or to donate, call 817-274-0383.

Counseling Services

Counseling and Psychological Services' on-call counseling staff has temporarily relocated to the Health Services Center. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Please call ahead at 817-272-3671 to consult with a counselor in planning for your arrival.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, call your health care provider to discuss symptoms or contact history. Call first. Do not go to a clinic, UTA Health Services, or another medical facility if experiencing symptoms without first calling.

In the event of an emergency, call 911 and inform the dispatcher of COVID-19 concerns.

UTA students can contact UTA Health Services with concerns during office hours at 817-272-2771. Outside of normal business hours, call the Tarrant County Public Health hotline at 817-321-5939.

Report close contact with COVID-19 patient

If you come into close contact (within 6 feet) with an individual who has been tested and diagnosed with COVID-19, you are required to complete UTA's Close Contact form. Read more at uta.edu/coronavirus.

Personal travel abroad

Personal international travel information must be reported as soon as possible through the international travel form.

UTA discourages travel within the U.S. If you do, monitor the status of your destination and take measures to protect yourself while traveling.
