Facilities team has updated safety practices to mitigate COVID-19 risks

The Office of Facilities Management is updating its safety practices in operating building ventilation systems to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. UTA is following guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

Planning fall course schedule got easier

The list of fall 2020 courses in MyMav now includes the information we released previously on whether each class will be taught face-to-face, online, or a mix of both (hybrid). In addition, you can search in MyMav for courses by their attribute.

Tech support during exams

The OIT Help Desk has opened a Student Exam Support queue accessible via phone and chat for students having technology issues during exams. Call 817-272-2208 or go to uta.edu/help/chat.

Early voting at MAC

Early voting for the July 14 Texas primary runoff election is through Friday, July 10, at the Maverick Activities Center. See times/days. Voters must wear masks inside the building and maintain social distancing.

Resume, cover letter workshops

Market yourself and gain an edge in today's job market by learning how to create an effective resume and cover letter. Join the workshop at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, or Friday, July 10.

Work-Study 101

Learn more about work-study eligibility and opportunities during a virtual workshop at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15.

Online workouts

Participate in online workout classes from 60 different colleges and universities across the country through August 15 with Recreation Movement.

Intramural play online

Don't miss the fun of intramural events with a summer of virtual competition in chess, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, and Mario Kart. Register to play.

Important dates

Registration is ongoing for fall semester.

  • July 8—Last day of classes for first five-week term
  • July 9—Final exams for first five-week term. Last day to drop for 14-week term; submit to advisor by 4 p.m.
  • July 12—Registration ends for second five-week term
  • July 13—First day of classes for second five-week term
  • July 16—Census Day for secod five-week term
  • July 23—Last day to drop for 11-week term; submit to advisor by 4 p.m.
