Masks for individuals are available at the information desks at The Commons, the University Center, and the Central Library.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers tips on caring for fabric face masks.

New business analytics degree

UT Arlington will offer a new Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics beginning in January 2021. The new program builds on the College of Business' five-year-old Master of Science in Business Analytics degree.

Student Accounts info

The Office of Student Accounts will talk online about the importance of understanding payments, payment plans, direct deposit, and more. Sessions are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Free flu shots at MAC

Students eligible for services in the Health Services Center can get their free flu shots at the Maverick Activities Center. Make an appointment between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

Early voting at MAC

The Maverick Activities Center serves as an early voting polling place for the Nov. 3 elections. The poll is open through Friday, Oct. 30. See the schedule.

Emotional health awareness

Fresh Check Day is part of Emotional Health Awareness Week, which aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health.

A Special Message from Your Favorite Maverick

Family appreciation

The UTA Parent and Family Center invites students to write a special message of love and appreciation to their parents, family members, or friends with a Maverick Family Appreciation e-Card.

Download a postcard, write your message, then email or send a screenshot of your creation to your loved ones. Choices are:

Invite your family to attend the virtual Maverick Family Appreciation Day activities 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. Participate via Teams or through a call-in, audio-only option.

Electrical outage Friday evening

The Office of Facilities Management has scheduled an electrical outage from 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, to no later than midnight Saturday, Oct. 24. Available emergency back-up generators in these buildings will be maintained throughout this outage to power crucial services.

Buildings affected are CAPPA, Engineering Lab, Fine Arts, Geoscience, Nanofab, Nedderman Hall, and Woolf Hall.

Save any work or data in progress before 10:30 p.m. Friday to prevent possible data loss.

Important dates

  • Oct. 23—Late registration for second eight-week term
  • Oct. 26—Last day to drop classes for second five-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Oct. 29—Census date for second eight-week term
  • Nov. 6—Last day to drop classes for fall semester; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • Nov. 12—Registration begins for spring semester
  • Nov. 24—Last day for all in-person classes; instruction moves to all online after Thanksgiving
