Register for free COVID-19 testing

UTA Health Services continues to offer free COVID-19 testing for students. New appointment times are available 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Maverick Activities Center.

The American College Health Association recommends students be tested for COVID prior to traveling for the upcoming semester break. Please note, the CDC does not recommend testing if you have already tested positive in the preceding three months and do not currently have symptoms.

There are a limited number of spots available, so an appointment is required. Students can schedule an appointment through the MavCare Patient Portal at mavcare.uta.edu. Follow registration instructions.

You will receive notification of your results two to three days after your appointment.

If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel through mavcare.uta.edu.

For any questions, email hsic@uta.edu or call 817-272-2771, option 1.

Enter Grad Cap Contest

Graduating Mavericks can submit their grad cap designs for the #ForeverMaverick Grad Cap Contest. Entries are due by Thursday, Dec. 17. Voting is Friday, Dec. 18-Tuesday, Dec. 22.

'After 5' parking anytime

Parking rules are relaxed with "after 5 p.m." rules in effect through Friday, Jan. 15. Customers can park in most lots and garages all day long as if it were after 5 p.m., except for reserved spots. Permits are still required.

Via free rides continue

Students continue to ride free on Via through Friday, Jan 15. Free rides are limited to 10 per week.

Learn more about pass/fail option

Learn more about the pass/fail option at the pass/fail listening and information session at 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. Students may submit questions during the live session. The session will be recorded. See the Dec. 9 listening session.

The policy allows each student to request up to two courses for pass/fail grading. See the full list of fall 2020 courses available for the pass/fail grading option under this policy.

Students considering the pass/fail option should:

  • Consult with their advisors about the pass/fail option.
  • Submit a pass/fail grading request form 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22. The form will not be accessible until Dec. 21, but the link should be bookmarked.

Visit the Fall 2020 Pass/Fail Student FAQs page for answers to many questions you may have about the policy and process.
