Join a weeklong series of virtual events focused on emotional and mental health awareness. Included are activities to help you reduce stress, get your body moving, put you in a positive mindset, and more.

Stop AAPI Hate

Stop Hate Town Hall

Multicultural Affairs provides a space for Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander community members to be heard so that we all, allies included, feel empowered.

The virtual Stop AAPI Hate Town Hall is at 3-5 p.m. Monday, March 29.

Summer and fall semester plans

In anticipation of an improving situation, UTA is planning for the summer 2021 semester to begin with classes mostly online and the resumption of some events on campus.

Looking further ahead, we are optimistic about returning to more regular operations in fall 2021.

Network maintenance Saturday

Starting at 10 p.m. Saturday, March 27, on-campus users may experience intermittent access to the internet during scheduled maintenance on the UTA network. For more information, visit the OIT website.

Campus tour guides needed

MavElite tour guides are needed to show the UTA campus to prospective students, their families, school/community groups, and VIP guests. Apply through Handshake for job 4504770 by Monday, April 5.

HEERF II emergency grants

UTA can provide financial assistance through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) to eligible students facing additional expenses due to the pandemic.

All adults to be eligible for COVID vaccine

The Texas Department of State Health Services announced that all adults will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Texas beginning Monday, March 29. UTA students and employees are strongly encouraged to receive the vaccine.

The University's COVID-19 Vaccination Information and Resources page can help you monitor public health websites for appointment availability.

Free COVID-19 tests for students are available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at 435 Spaniolo Drive in the College Park District. Make an appointment.

  • April 2—Last day to drop classes for second five-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • April 5—Registration begins for summer and fall 2021 semesters.

Play in esports tournament

Participate in UTA Athletics’ first esports tournament, the Mavericks Smash Challenge, and play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Saturday, April 10. First place wins $150. Freebies include entry, T-shirt for the first 50 entries, and other giveaways.

Dialogues in Art

Art and Art History hosts a Dialogues in Art discussion panel on "Art, History, Technology" at 3 p.m. Friday, April 9, on Teams.

Theater productions

Save the dates for two shows by the Maverick Theatre Company. Spring Awakening and Tragedians Anonymous will be available on video on demand Friday-Monday, April 2-5. Tickets are $5.
