Take diversity, inclusion survey

Complete the UTA Student Campus Climate Survey on diversity and inclusion. Please complete the survey by Monday, April 5. The survey takes about 20 minutes. Skip any question you do not feel comfortable answering. Your response is confidential.

Make appointment for COVID-19 testing

Free COVID-19 tests for students are available 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Maverick Activities Center and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Curative testing center at 435 Spaniolo Drive in the College Park District.

Make appointments for the April 7 event or at UTA’s portal on Curative’s website.

Electrical outage at SEIR building tonight

To complete modifications to the electric service for the new School of Social Work and College of Nursing and Health Innovation Building, the Office of Facilities Management needs to schedule a 20-minute electrical outage for the entire SEIR Building at 7:30 p.m. today, Friday, April 2.

The building’s emergency generator will be operational for fire and life safety equipment, limited building lighting, elevators, and any research equipment currently connected to the emergency generator.

Save computer work and data in progress to prevent possible loss. Turn off all electronic equipment; it does not need to be unplugged.

Vote in campus elections

Vote online to elect student leaders Monday-Wednesday, April 5-7. Positions are for student body president and vice president, Mr. UTA and Ms. UTA, student government senators, and UTA Ambassadors.

Campus tour guides needed

MavElite tour guides are needed to show the UTA campus to prospective students, their families, school/community groups, and VIP guests. Apply through Handshake for job 4504770 by Monday, April 5.

The Big Event

Take part in the University’s largest day of service—The Big Event—Saturday, April 10, with various projects such as painting, landscaping, stocking pantry shelves, facility cleanup, and more. Register to participate.

HEERF II emergency grants

UTA can provide financial assistance through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) to eligible students facing additional expenses due to the pandemic.

  • April 5—Registration begins for summer and fall 2021 semesters.
  • April 8—Last day of classes for second five-week term.
  • April 9—Final exams for second five-week term.
  • April 11—Registration ends for third five-week term.
  • April 12—First day of classes for third five-week term.
  • April 12-13—Late registration for third five-week term.
  • April 15—Census Date for third five-week term.
  • April 27—Last day to drop classes for second eight-week term; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
