Course modality options available for summer, fall semesters

In anticipation of improving conditions, UT Arlington is planning for the majority of fall 2021 courses to be in-person, while still maintaining some of the flexibility that proved popular with students over the last year. Summer 2021 will be primarily hybrid with both in-person and online courses.

UTA awarded funds to help student impacted by COVID-19

UTA has received $750,000 to help students negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) second round of Texas Reskilling Grants.

The grants allow UT Arlington to provide financial assistance, through coverage of tuition and fees, to help students in need get back on track for graduation. The THECB program assists students who need to reskill or upskill to return to the workforce, as well as students who previously left their higher education institutions without completing their postsecondary credentials.

Vote in campus elections

Vote online to elect student leaders through Wednesday, April 7. Positions are for student body president and vice president, Mr. UTA and Ms. UTA, student government senators, and UTA Ambassadors.

ASL Meet & Greet

All American Sign Language users and learners, deaf, and hard of hearing people are invited to an ASL Meet & Greet on Teams 3-4 p.m. Thursday, April 8.

'Solidarity Across Border'

Author Ruth Gomberg-Muñoz will speak at the Termini Distinguished Anthropologist Lecture Series on Solidarity Across Borders: Immigration Policy, Deportation, and Binational Connections at 7 pm Thursday, April 8, on Zoom.

Tobacco-free update

Learn more about the UT System's tobacco-free campus initiative and what could be implemented to prevent tobacco use on campus. Eliminate Tobacco: Where are We Now? is at noon Friday, April 9.

The Big Event

Take part in the University’s largest day of service—The Big Event—Saturday, April 10, with various projects such as painting, landscaping, stocking pantry shelves, facility cleanup, and more. Register to participate.
