Masks encouraged but no longer required

Beginning today, Friday, May 21, UTA will no longer mandate the wearing of masks on campus but continues to strongly encourage and recommend that Mavericks wear masks, particularly when inside campus buildings. This action comes on the heels of the CDC’s updated guidance that masks are optional for those who are fully vaccinated.

Proactive testing for COVID-19 is available on campus through Health Services and the Curative Testing Center.

Vaccine available on campus

The COVID-19 vaccine is available on campus and locally. Find a vaccination site and register.

Online graduate degree in learning analytics added to fall 2021 offerings

In response to the accelerating impact of digital technologies on learning, UT Arlington will launch an online Master of Science degree in learning analytics in fall 2021.

George Siemens, professor of psychology, said the new degree will prepare students to meet the growing demand for learning analytics professionals across a variety of industries.

Learning analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of data regarding learners and their contexts to understand and optimize learning and the environments in which it occurs.

Summer parking permits

Summer-only parking rates are available for employees working on campus. Or choose the monthly, weekly, or daily options. Order your permit through MavPark.

Network maintenance Sunday

The UTA network will be unavailable from midnight-7 a.m. Sunday, May 23. Anyone using the network on campus will experience intermittent access up to two hours at a time. For details, visit the OIT website.

Early voting for run-off elections

UTA is an early voting site for the June 5 run-off elections. Cast your ballot Monday, May 24-Tuesday, June 1, at the Maverick Activities Center. Read more for times and other locations in Tarrant County.
