Plan for spring semester now

Register for spring 2022 and customize a semester that will maximize your goal-getting time. Students who register early can take the classes that count toward their major and best fit their schedules.

Accelerated on-campus BSN

UTA has launched its first accelerated campus-based Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, which allows students to finish their last two years of nursing school in 15 months. The first cohort began earlier this year.

Space science fellowship

Fatima Bagheri, a doctoral student in physics, was awarded a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship to continue her research in space science.

Vaccine clinic for ages 5 and older Saturday

UTA has a COVID‑19 vaccine clinic for ages 5 and older 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in room 100B of the Maverick Activities Center.

The free walk‑in‑only clinic is open to UTA employees, students, and their dependents and family members.

The clinic offers first and second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, as well as booster doses for eligible individuals.

COVID-19 testing

UTA offers COVID‑19 testing at two locations on campus.

Symptom-free individuals seeking proactive testing or required testing can be tested in the Carlisle Suite of the University Center. Appointments are required. The testing site will be closed Friday, Dec. 24-Sunday, Jan. 2.

Individuals with symptoms should make an appointment at the testing site in the College Park District. The testing site will be closed Friday-Sunday, Dec. 24-26, and Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 1-2.

Plan for spa day

Take a break from finals at the free Student Spa Retreat 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the Palo Duro Lounge of the UC. On the agenda are relaxing games and activities, mindfulness techniques, healthy snacks, door prizes, and giveaways.

City job fair

The city of Arlington will host a job fair 2-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library at 100 S. Center St. Apply online and bring copies of your resume to the event.

Glass art sale

Find some unique art at the Annual Holiday Glass Sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 11, at the Studio Arts Center. The event will include live glassblowing demonstrations.

Panther City Lacrosse

Join your fellow Mavericks at UTA Night with Panther City Lacrosse as the team takes on the Vancouver Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Tickets start at $15

Junior Rose Bowl

Special Collections hosts a Junior Rose Bowl mini exhibit commemorating Arlington State College (now UTA) winning the bowl game in 1956 and 1957. The display runs through Thursday, Dec. 23, on the sixth floor of the Central Library.
