Blaze Forward to help eligible undergrads with college tuition

Beginning with the fall 2022 semester, UTA's Blaze Forward program will make a college education more accessible by covering 100% of tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduate students who meet all eligibility requirements and are from families with adjusted gross incomes up to $85,000.

Students that meet eligibility requirements will automatically be considered for the program and be notified. There is no additional application needed for the program. To learn more, visit go.uta.edu/blaze-forward.

UTA expects more than 4,000 students to qualify in the coming year. As the program grows over time, more than 4,600 students a year will enjoy the benefits of Blaze Forward.

Two special initiatives

Two special topics are included in this year's campus elections.

Voting for the Student Life and Community Initiative supports enhancements, improvements, and expansions to the E.H. Hereford Center. The Student Union fee would become $150 per semester and $75 per summer term. The increase in fees won’t go into effect until the project is completed in 2026.

Town Hall meetings about The New UC are 6 p.m. Thursday, March 24, and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, in Student Government Chambers, room 224a, of the UC.

Voting for the Green Fund would create a $5 tuition allocation per student per regular semester and $2.50 per summer term to be designated toward Universitywide sustainability initiatives.
