At An Evening of Black Excellence, graduating Black, African, and African American students were honored with a ceremony that embraced the pillars of scholarship, heritage, culture, and community.

Alumnus donates $1.5m

UT Arlington has received more than $1.5 million from alumnus Edward Perez Jr. to create two endowed scholarships—one for students in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation and another for students in the College of Science.

UTA brings home gold in track and field

Mavericks brought home numerous gold medals from the the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday-Saturday, May 12-14.

Jade Bontke was named the Sun Belt Conference's Top Scorer of the Meet with five medals. The women's team came in third and the men's team was fourth in overall performance.

UTA will head to the NCAA Championships Preliminary Round at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. The event begins Wednesday-Saturday, May 25-28.

Power Outage

Power outage at SEIR

Important dates

  • May 17—Late registration for 14-week term and first seven-week term. Census date for summer intersession.
  • May 19—Census date for first seven-week term.
  • May 24—Last day to drop classes for summer intersession; submit requests to advisor prior to 4 p.m.
  • May 30—Memorial Day holiday.
  • May 31—Last day of classes for summer intersession.
  • June 1—Final exams for summer intersession.
