Fourth forum for VP of research and innovation

A virtual forum with a fourth final candidate for vice president for research and innovation is 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29. Join the event.

The forum is open to all students, faculty, and staff as an opportunity to engage with the finalist and provide feedback that will inform the final steps of the selection process.

Title IX: 1972-2022 50th anniversary.

Title IX turns 50

UTA is celebrating 50 years of Title IX, a federal civil rights law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in schools and universities. On June 23, 1972, President Richard Nixon signed into law the Education Amendments Act of 1972, which included the landmark law.

Pell Grant

Pell Grant marks 50, too

The federal Pell Grant program, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month, has helped more than 80 million Americans go to college since its creation in 1972. In the 2021-22 academic year, UTA disbursed more than $58 million in Pell Grant funds to nearly 13,700 undergraduates.

UTA closed on 4th

UTA is closed for Independence Day on Monday, July 4, so everyone can celebrate our country's birthday.

Arlington fun, fireworks, parade

Don’t miss Light Up Arlington on Sunday, July 3, in downtown Arlington, which includes events for the whole family and fireworks. Get in on the celebration at the Arlington Fourth of July Parade, which will kick off at 9 a.m. Monday, July 4. Be sure to look for UTA’s festive floats and spirited participants.

Military spouse friendly

For its continued commitment to military-connected students, UT Arlington has earned the Military Spouse Friendly School designation for 2022-23 by Military Friendly.

Team recognized

A team from UTA’s Parking and Transportation Services and Department of Civil Engineering received an award for its work on RAPID (Rideshare, Automation, and Payment Integration Demonstration), the on-demand, self-driving shuttle service.

Educational Opportunity Center

The Educational Opportunity Center invites you to an Open House 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at 700 S. Davis Dr., former home of the UTA Police Department. Register to attend.
