Late Night Security Escort Service has changed apps. Use the free Transloc On-Demand app to schedule an escort 7 p.m.-3 a.m. seven days per week in the fall semester. New off-campus locations are Centennial Court, Maverick Place, 848 Mitchell, The Arlie, and Downtown Arlington.

The Stampede is coming

Next week kicks off classes and the Maverick Stampede, UTA's welcoming tradition of events, activities, networking, and socializing.
Check out the First Day of Classes Photobooth 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 22-23. Find answers to on-campus questions at Ask Me Days booths 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Tuesday.
The official start of the semester is the MavsMeet Convocation at 6 p.m. Monday at College Park Center. The event includes a spirited performance by the UTA band and a line-up of faculty, staff, and student speakers, immediately followed by activities, games, giveaways, music, and more.

Volunteer for the Move-In Event 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, and help students get settled into their on-campus homes. Register by 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 16.

If you graduated this summer, please complete the Undergraduate or Master’s Exit Survey by Wednesday, Aug. 31. You will receive a survey invitation from gradteam@uta.edu. The survey will also be accessible through Canvas.

UTA Night at the Rangers
|
|
Swing for the fences and enjoy UTA Night at the Rangers with your fellow Mavs. The Rangers will play the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Globe Life Field. Student tickets are $8. Buy tickets to the game to be eligible for a special UTA/Texas Rangers hat.

Military PTSD survey
|
|
Military-connected students are needed for a survey by the School of Social Work. The study is to better understand the factors, elements, and turning points that contribute to a military loss or trauma becoming a personal post-traumatic growth experience that results in a transformation outcome of helping others. Read more details and complete the participation application.
