Welcome to Maverick Country starts with MavsMeet Convocation and Afterparty
|

Celebrate the start of the new academic year with MavsMeet Convocation at 6 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 22, at College Park Center.
The event will include a spirited performance by the UTA Band, spirit groups, student organizations, and a lineup of speakers including UTA President Jennifer Cowley and student body President Teresa Nguyen.
Continue the celebration at the Afterparty and join in the activities in the University Center. The fun includes a mechanical bull, caricature artists, airbrush tattoos, and a dance party hosted by DJSC. Free food and giveaways, too.
The convocation is part of the Maverick Stampede, UTA's welcoming tradition of events, activities, networking, and socializing. Read more about this week's Stampede events below.

Ask Me Days has campus answers

Need help finding your way around campus? UTA Ambassadors has you covered with Ask Me Days. On the first two days of classes, ambassadors will be stationed at tables around UTA to answer questions and help students find their way around campus and locate resources.
Look for the Ask Me Days tents 7 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 22-Tuesday, Aug. 23, at The Commons, the University Center mall, the Library mall, Pickard Hall/College of Business, and the center bridge across Cooper Street.
