Take a break from studies and relax

Relax while studying for final exams with a little help from friends around campus.

De-stress with the Libraries is a study break with hot tea, meditation, and mandala coloring. Grab some free scantrons and relaxation swag 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in classroom 109 of the Central Library.

Late Night Breakfast provides a study break and nourishment for your brain and body 9:30-11 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 7-8, at the Connection Cafe in the University Center.

Libraries' Holiday Bash has treats and hot chocolate as you craft ornaments and holiday decor for home noon-3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, on the first floor of the Central Library.

2022 Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

Cowley named holiday parade grand marshal

UTA President Jennifer Cowley will be the grand marshal at the annual Arlington Holiday Lights Parade Saturday, Dec. 10. Look for more Mavericks in the parade, too.

Before the parade are reindeer games at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library, events at the Levitt Pavilion, and pictures with Santa.

Holiday Glass Sale

Shop for one-of-a-kind glass art at the Holiday Glass Art Pre-Sale for departments, faculty, staff, and students 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Studio Arts Center. Bring your UTA ID.

A sale open to the public is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Veterans education honor

The Texas Veterans Commission honored UTA with a Gold 2022 Veterans Education Excellence Recognition Award (VEERA). Established by the Texas State Legislature, the VEERA program recognizes public colleges and universities for their excellence in providing education and related services to veterans and the military-connected community.

Gift aids online BSN

An Ascension Texas gift will support the College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s Accelerated Online Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, designed to spread the impact of nursing even further beyond the UTA campus.

For emerging entrepreneurs at UTA, the Deep Dive program offered by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Innovation in partnership with TechFW offers a stepping stone to success.

MavPlanner, MavScheduler now in MyMav

MavPlanner and MavScheduler allow students and academic advisors to create a personalized multiyear degree plan directly in MyMav.

This update replaces the third-party Degree Map Solution and Smart Scheduling Tool. Access MavPlanner, which includes MavScheduler, by logging into MyMav and selecting the “Manage Classes” tile to start mapping your path to graduation.

Maverick Fort Worth Takeover. Pregame Reception, Dec. 10. UTA

Maverick Takeover at Dickies Arena

Join UTA Alumni Relations and The Maverick Club at the Maverick Fort Worth Takeover for a pre-game reception at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, before UTA takes on Texas State at Dickies Arena.

The reception is free, but a game ticket is required for entry. RSVP at give.uta.edu/maverick-takeover.

Donation drive

Help the Women's Faculty and Staff Network's donation drive to benefit Tarrant County's SafeHaven through Friday, Dec. 9. Donations can be made online or at two locations on campus.

Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition

Works by 38 graduating seniors are showcased in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition through Friday, Dec. 16, in the Gallery at UTA in the Fine Arts Building.
