UTA Impact

  Dr. Jennifer Cowley

Greetings,

Happy Holidays from The University of Texas at Arlington! At UTA, we have so many things to celebrate, and none of it would be possible without supporters like you championing UTA and our successes. It has been a year of significant impact for students, research, and our community, and we are ending 2022 on a high note.

Last week, we held our winter commencement at Globe Life Field, where nearly 4,700 students earned their diplomas. Commencement is one of my favorite events, as we celebrate with new alumni who, through grit and determination, now have a university degree—which we know changes lives. They head out into the workforce with their best foot forward, and I am excited to share that our students leave UTA with the highest starting salaries in the UT System.

From the arts to the sciences, we also have some exciting news in research. We are living up to our title of a Tier 1 research university, as UTA faculty are making great strides in areas such as sustainable food production, data sharing, and literature.

I want to thank you personally for all the support you have shown UTA over the past year. I look forward to what we can accomplish together in 2023 and wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and a happy new year.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cowley signature
