  Dr. Jennifer Cowley

Greetings,

We often boast of being one of the nation’s most diverse undergraduate student populations, and this month brought proof and validation. U.S. News & World Report ranks The University of Texas at Arlington as having the fifth most diverse undergraduate student body among national universities.

Our mission is to provide access to higher education for students from all backgrounds, and we excel at it. The magazine ranked us among the top 50 in the U.S. for social mobility. We’re also one of the nation’s best values. Our students graduate with less debt that the vast majority of college graduates nationwide.

I’m also extremely proud of another top-five national ranking on the Military Times Best for Vets colleges list. Nearly 5,000 military-connected students attend UTA; 2,100 of them are veterans, on active duty, or members of the National Guard or Reserve. The remaining 2,900 are military children or spouses. They all deserve the best academic and financial supports, services, and resources we can offer—and we are determined to deliver them.

We will continue to support our students by maximizing their financial and academic support and our renowned faculty by providing opportunities for them to innovate and excel. That combination is what makes us one of Texas’ great universities.

Thank you for all you do to support this amazing institution.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cowley signature
