THE SCORE

Power forward David Eng hopes to lead the Movin’ Mavs to their seventh National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Championship in March. Eng, UTA’s leading scorer and rebounder, won a gold medal as a member of Team Canada at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece. UTA hosts the 28th annual NIWB tournament March 3-5 in Texas Hall. “This is the best wheelchair basketball played in the United States,” said Movin’ Mavs coach Jim Hayes.

“It’s the best of the best competing against each other to win a national championship. And it’s at home in Texas Hall for free. What more could you ask for?” The championship game is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5. For more information, call Hayes at 817-272-3410.
