. UTA Brick Campaign .

Paving the Way

Now is your chance to purchase a brick through the annual College Park Center Brick Campaign and have it installed prior to graduation. Buying a brick is a great way to celebrate a graduating UTA student or to leave your mark on campus while helping future generations attend your alma mater. Proceeds from the campaign will help support the University's scholarship fund. Don't miss your opportunity to make a difference and commemorate one of life's greatest accomplishments - earning a college degree.

Giving Back to the Community

UTA students are known for their exceptional talent, but did you know many of them commit countless hours to volunteer efforts? Earlier this month the women of the Delta Delta Delta sorority hosted a three-on-three basketball tournament to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. UTA President Vistasp Karbhari recognized this special effort in one of his most recent blog posts on Mav Milestones and thanked the hundreds of UTA students who help make our community better through their selfless acts of service.

Overcoming Odds

UTA alumna and Texas State Representative Cindy Burkett recently discussed how her persistence and resilliency helped her earn a college degree as part of a distinguished speaker series at Eastfield College. Rep. Burkett shared stories of overcoming personal and professional roadblocks and encouraged those in attendance to pursue higher education in their own way and in their own time. Her message of hope exemplified the work ethic of many UTA students and alumni.
