Career Development Institute

Are you curious as to how to effectively negotiate your salary for your first career or professional position? Do you need strategies on how to effectively brand and network yourself? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then our  annual Career Development Institute (CDI) is for you!

We will have subject-matter experts during this half-day conference cover everything from financial planning to navigating the job market. This will be an opportunity to learn, network, and prepare yourself for the first year of your post-UTA world.

The Career Development Institute will be held in the University Center Upper Level from 8:00am-12:30pm on Saturday, April 21st, 2018.

Jay Veal is the CEO of INC Tutoring, the #1 African-American owned private, prescriptive and holistic tutoring company in DFW serving students nationally and dedicated to demystifying STEM subjects for students of all ages. He is an alumni of UT Arlington as well. In addition, he is a 2017 Dallas Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 and name one of Dallas’ Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs of DFW by Voyage Magazine. DFW was missing the element in private tutoring that minority students could be successful with.
