The University of Texas at Arlington’s Economic Development through Guidance Education Program (Mavs EDGE) is a no-cost employer partnership focused on developing meaningful, paid experiential learning opportunities for UTA students. 

Mavs EDGE partners receive targeted internship promotion, internship development guidance, campus connections, student engagement opportunities, and individualized recruiting support.

    • Create or maintain an approved employer account in Handshake, connect with The University of Texas at Arlington, and submit an internship posting that meets UTA Career Development Center approval requirements.

  2. Offer a Qualifying Paid Internship
    • Offer or plan to develop a meaningful, paid internship with clearly defined responsibilities, learning objectives, and appropriate supervision and support.

  3. Submit a Signed Partnership Agreement Review and sign the Mavs EDGE Partnership Agreement.
    • By joining, partners commit to reporting UTA student hires and supporting the program’s student-engagement goals.
