Students Receive Awards for Clinical Excellence

December 12th, students from the undergraduate and graduate programs were honored for clinical excellence by their faculty. Some comments read at the ceremony included...."She identified a missing pulse in a patient's lower extremity and that guided the plan of care." "...consistently utilized good planning, insight, professionalism and a passion for nursing..." "He has a strong work ethic and will be an exceptional nurse."
Students are nominated by faculty in their clinical course. Consistently exceeds clinical performance standards in the application of theoretical concepts, evidence-based practice, and communication (written and verbal)Demonstrates exemplary performance in the use of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates exemplary performance in the application of leadership principles and professionalism.
Criteria for selection as an Outstanding Clinical Student:
Each honoree received a certificate with the nominators comments - presented by their faculty.
