What's New Veterans Affairs Learning Opportunities Residency (VALOR) ![]() Six UTA students are completing a 10 week summer residency program at the VA. They have been working with BSN-prepared RN preceptors and function at the novice level to deliver fundamental, knowledge-based nursing care to assigned veterans while developing technical competence, under the supervision of their RN preceptor. They have spent their summer working full-time providing care to the veterans capped by a presentation to nursing leadership on August 7th. This is a great opportunity for our students to grow and gain confidence at the bedside.
