COVID-19 Update

Greetings from Maverick Country! Thank you for visiting the Student Governance website. As we make our way through this unprecedented event, please know that UTA is providing updated guidance and information, please visit uta.edu/coronavirus for updated UTA information.  The Student Governance Staff are working remotely and are still available for questions and inquiries into our programs.  In addition, we are continuing to work to modify or provide as many of our existing programs in a virtual platform as possible.  Please check back here frequently and look for updates to learn more about those program changes.  You may contact our office at 817-272-0556 or email getinvolved@uta.edu. Thank you for your patience during this time, we look forward to working with all current and future Mavericks soon!

Virtual Experiences

Graduate Student Council

Student Governance is dedicated to providing a medium for students to voice their concerns and opinions.

Through Student Governance, there are two ways in which students may choose to get involved:

  1. By serving as the voice of the student body, Student Government provides student representation on various university committees and has the opportunity to represent the student perspective on a variety of campus issues.
  2. By serving as the student hosts and hostesses of the campus, the UTA Ambassadors provide students with the opportunity to coordinate large scale university events and implement The Maverick Way.

Through these organizations, students have the chance to become engaged in activities that enhance their educational experience, and grow their leadership experience.

For more information on Student Governance programs, please call 817-272-0556.
