Vaccines remain our best defense against the COVID‑19 virus. That's why UTA is partnering with Walmart to establish four on-campus COVID‑19 vaccination clinics open to all employees and students for the start of the fall 2021 semester.

Walmart will be administering both doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Dependents, friends and family of UTA employees and students are welcome as long as they are above the age of 12. No prior registration is required, though any minor coming without their parent or guardian will need to bring a signed consent form.

Vaccinations are free regardless of insurance status, but it is recommended to bring your insurance card if you have one.

COVID‑19 Vaccination Clinics

Each vaccine clinic will operate on a walk-in-only basis and be held in the exercise rooms of the Maverick Activities Center.

  • Wednesday, August 4 – 12 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 18 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 25 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 15 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

After receiving your first dose of the vaccine, your second dose appointment will automatically be scheduled, and you will receive a reminder email in advance of that appointment. Please be advised that if you receive your first dose at the September 15 clinic, your second dose appointment will be set for another location in the area.

Designated In-Store Vaccine Hours

If you are unable to attend one of the on-campus vaccine clinics, Walmart is designating 4 to 5 p.m. each day for UTA individuals to get vaccinated at the 915 E. Randol Mill Rd. location near the UTA campus. No appointment or prior registration is required.

Additional Vaccine Opportunities

If the dates and times established for the Walmart vaccine opportunities are incompatible with your needs or schedule, the COVID‑19 vaccine is widely available in Arlington and throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. To find a readily available vaccine near you, enter your zip code into the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID‑19 vaccine finder.

The latest information about UTA’s vaccine partnerships and opportunities for employees and students is always available through the University’s COVID‑19 Vaccination Information and Resources.
