Basics to Bodybuilding 101:

This is a four week class teaching the basics of bodybuilding style training.  The primary goal is to teach you how to maximize muscle growth through manipulating program design variables.  This class will be both informational and hands on.  The instructor will teach you the bodybuilding basics through informal talks and discussions; and then let you put that information to the test by coaching you through some awesome muscle building workouts.  This session will meet three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Each class will last approximately one hour.  There is a minimum of 6 participants required for the class to make and maximum of 12 can sign up.  Hurry spots will go fast!

Basics to Bodybuilding 102:

This is a four week class teaching the basics of bodybuilding style training.  This class builds from its prerequisite, Basics of Bodybuilding 101.  The primary goal is to teach you how to maximize muscle growth through manipulating program design variables.  This class will be both informational and hands on.  The instructor will teach you the bodybuilding basics through informal talks and discussions; and then let you put that information to the test by coaching you through some awesome muscle building workouts.  This session will meet three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Each class will last approximately one hour.  There is a minimum of 6 participants required for the class to make and maximum of 12 can sign up.  Hurry spots will go fast!

*this session is a continuation of our Bodybuilding 101 course and will build off of that foundation.  You must have already taken 101 in order to sign up for this class, unless given special consideration by the instructor.

Strong-her: Resistance Training for Women:

This is 4-week class designed by a woman for women. This is a hands-on course that will teach you the basics of program design to develop a strong, lean physique. Four weeks of strength programming will be integrated with brief informational discussions on topics specific to resistance training for a female population. This class will meet three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  There is a minimum of 6 participants required for the class to make and maximum of 12 can sign up.  Learn. Grow. Get stronger. Will you take the challenge?

Maverick Powerlifting, Building the Foundation for Total Strength:

MAVERICK POWERLIFTING: is a class built on the great sport of powerlifting.  Powerlifting, often confused with Olympic lifting, is an individualized sport in which competitors attempt to lift as much weight as possible for one repetition in the squat, bench press, and deadlift.  This exciting and revolutionary class will cover the basics of powerlifting.  Topics include: what are the big 3, core lift technique, powerlifting programming, mobility and injury prevention, and supplemental exercises.  Come be a part of something new that UTA has to offer and achieve something that you never thought would be possible…. Until Now.  So come get strong, build dense muscle, and most important have fun doing it. Each session will last 4-weeks with classes meeting twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  A minimum of 6 participants will be required for the class to make.  A maximum of 12 participants can register for the class.

Maverick Boot Camp:

MAVERICK BOOT CAMP is an intense, exciting 1 hour workout sure to get your heart racing and your muscles burning! If you are serious about getting in great shape, join us at 6:30 am for this intense morning class.  Get lean, strong, and have fun doing it. Each session will last 4-weeks with classes meeting twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  A minimum of 10 participants will be required for the class to make.  A maximum of 30 participants can register for the class.

Intro to Weight Training:

This is a 4-week basic weight training class for men and women.  This course is an activity-based course, which educates participants on the weight room and how to utilize its equipment. Additional topics include: testing and evaluation of current fitness levels, resistance training techniques, training program design, and combining a weight training routine with a cardiovascular program.  This class will meet two times per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  A minimum of 6 participants is required for the class to make and maximum of 12 may sign up and participate.

CPR/AED/First Aid Classes:

These classes each consist of a single five-hour class, covering the American Red Cross first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, adult CPR and AED use. Participants who successfully complete the class will receive an American Red Cross certification card valid for two years. Sign up today at the Services and Information Desk at the MAC, cost is $50.
