A 50-minute class designed to introduce you to the basics of yoga. After a few minutes of silent
preparation, a spinal warm up is completed, followed by several basic yoga postures. During this class,
postures that promote balance of the left and right sides of the body will be instructed, followed with
a series of poses to help strengthen the lower body. The last 15 minutes of class will transition to a
deep stretching, or yin style practice, ending with a five-minute period of rest called savasana. This
class is an excellent choice if you are interested in learning about some of the basic poses and
principle of yoga.
Finding mindfulness through a series of dynamic sequences as we learn to connect mind, body, and spirit
for a rejuvenating and relaxing experience. This class is an integration of basic Hatha, Vinyasa, and
restorative yoga poses along with an emphasis on deepening our own intuitive wisdom.

Expect to stretch standing up and, on the floor, to get deep into your muscles using the foam roller.
This form of self-massage is safe, gentle, and consistently effective in producing results to release
tight muscles, improve mobility, and flexibility.

These postures will be performed while seated or lying on your mat and are held for 3-5 minutes each to
reach and release the deep connective tissues of the body and help restore their function. The last five
minutes of class is a period of rest called savasana. This class is an excellent choice if you are
interested in the benefits of restorative yoga and want to alleviate stress throughout the body.

Combining your classic cardio step and a variety of equipment to target cardio and strength at once,
making this to a total body sculpting experience.
Yin & Nidra
A 50-minute class composed of two main parts. After a few minutes of silent preparation and spinal warm
up, you will experience various deep stretching postures while seated or lying on your mat. Each of
these postures are help up to 3-5 minutes each to reach and release the deep connective tissues in the
body and help restore their function. The second part of class is enjoyed lying in the quiet stillness,
called savasana, while being guided through a scripted meditation. This class is an excellent choice of
relieving stress and learning how to relax your mind. Bringing your own small pillow, bolster, and/or
small blanket is encouraged to promote personal comfort and complete relaxation.

8 Limb Yoga - Introduction to Yogic Philosophy, Breathwork, and Meditation. Short lecture followed by
application of breathwork and asana (postures). Collectively building up to a 30-minute meditation
session over the semester.
