AfrikoPOP Dance Fitness

Join our dance workout party! afrikoPOP combines modern west African dance with body sculpting exercises set to an afropop beat. No rhythm, no problem we’ll help you get on beat with afrobeats. “Let’s get it POPPING!”

 

Barre

Set to fun and energetic music, each class incorporates an upper body workout with weights and a combination of high-intensity sequences of the thigh, seat, and core exercises. Improving strength, more elongated muscles, and flexibility are key. Each class is designed to leave you feeling invigorated, challenged, and inspired.

 

BollyX

Come experience a cardio workout to bhangra, western folk, and Bollywood dance style. You will move to the vibrant beats of India’s dance styles that will leave you feeling like a Bollywood Star!  

 

Bolly Hop

Come and learn Bollywood and Hip Hop. These two styles of dancing will have you heart pumping as you learn the steps to the songs and the choreography depending on the genre of music.  

 

Cycle

Go for a spin! This ride is for everyone. Try this class of high intensity, medium impact cardio training in your target heart rate zone. Towel and water required.

 

Dance Fitness

Come and experience a variety of thrilling music with all different genres. This class will combine fast and slow rhythms to keep your body moving all while having a blast.

 

Mindful Monday Yoga

Start your week off with peacefulness and movement. The class will promote balance of the left and right sides of the body, followed with a series of poses to help strengthen the overall body and mind. The last 15 minutes of class will transition to a deep stretching, or yin style practice, ending with a five-minute period of rest called savasana.

 

MixxedFit

It is a people-inspired fitness program that combines explosive dance movements with bodyweight toning. Get ready to dance to the top 40, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, and everything in between.

 

Movement and Meditation

Yoga-Inspired functional movement and mobility drills. A portion of the class will be guided meditation and breathing techniques.

 

Pilates

The Pilates Method is a full-body conditioning program that develops deep abdominal and back strength, together with increased flexibility and ease of movement. This class is aimed at “core stability”, designed to work on lengthening muscles to help tone and strengthen muscles, using breathing to enhance relaxation.


Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is slow and gentle movement that involves long, passive holds of restful poses. Participants are often supported by props to experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

 

Strength Power

This class will teach strength training with safety, proper form and technique. We will focus on increasing muscular strength, and endurance with a challenging workout. 

 

Yoga

This mind and body class utilizes yoga movements to improve your flexibility, posture, strength, and balance. Bringing attention and focus to your breath while continuous flowing from one posture to the next.

 

 

 

MAC in Motion

Looking for something different at your organization’s next meeting or event? Have a certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor come to you for a special event, fitness class, or fitness and wellness presentation! MAC in Motion events are $40.00 at the MAC. All classes offered off-site will be $50.00. Reservation requests must be completed at least 30 days in advance. Confirmation of date and time is dependent on availability of instructor and room.
