Eight UTA Communication students served as interns for the 79th Cotton Bowl Classic during the week leading up to the January 1st game.
“This is the second year communication students have provided video for the game's YouTube channel,” explained BCMN lecturer Lance Liguez who oversaw the Cotton Bowl video project along with BCMN sequence head Dr. Andrew Clark.
“During the week leading up to the game, students covered visits by Baylor and Michigan State to area hospitals, discovered odd pre-game rituals and showcased the hospitality provided to both players and media,” Liguez noted.
The video content provided by the students will stay on the game's channel for an entire year, Liguez said.
Students participating in the Cotton Bowl project include, left to right, Jimena Fraga, Josh Pearson, Jessica Stroud, Parker Hillis, Raegan Cardwell, Hannah Barnett, Shayda Nazifpour and Amanda Kent.
