UNDERGRADUATE ADVISING

The advisors can assist with the following tasks via email:

• remove enrollment holds
• evaluate degree progress
• make course suggestions
• answer questions about previous emails
• assist with choosing a major or minor
• enroll in courses - requires form from advisors
• drop courses - requires form in MyMav (advisors can assist with the process)
• department permission and permission codes - requires form from advisors

Booking Appointments With Advisors

If you are a current Communication Major with existing access to MyMav, please do the following:

1. log in to your MyMav
2. Select the Advisors tile
3. Click the “Book an appointment” link.

This will take you through MavInspire to schedule with an advisor.

If you are a Prospective or New Student who does NOT have access to MyMav, you can schedule a virtual advising appointment by clicking the button below.

• Plan courses for the upcoming year
• Go over your MAP (Maverick Academic Progress)
• Assist you with transferring credits from courses taken at another institution of higher learning
• Help you add or drop courses
• Help connect you to resources on campus
